STARplex Personal Training – Client Terms & Conditions
1. Active Membership Requirement
All Personal Training clients must hold a current and active STARplex membership to participate in Personal Training sessions.
If a client’s membership is suspended, expired, or cancelled, Personal Training sessions cannot be conducted until the membership is reactivated.
Personal Training sessions do not replace facility membership and do not grant access to the facility without an active membership.
Personal Training sessions cannot be used while a membership is suspended unless approved by management.
2. Session Bookings
All Personal Training sessions must be booked in advance with a STARplex Personal Trainer and are subject to trainer availability.
Sessions will run for the agreed duration and start at the scheduled time.
3. Cancellation Policy
Clients must provide at least 12 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a session.
If less than 12 hours’ notice is provided, the full session fee may be forfeited.
Failure to attend a scheduled session without notice will be treated as a no-show and the session will be deducted from the client’s pack or charged in full.
For high-demand or peak trainers, STARplex may require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Clients will be informed of this requirement at the time of booking.
4. Lateness
If a client arrives late, the session will still finish at the scheduled time to avoid impacting other bookings.
If the trainer is late, the session time will be extended where possible or rescheduled.
5. Trainer Cancellation
If a trainer needs to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, your allocated trainer will reschedule the session or arrange a substitute trainer if appropriate.
Clients will not lose a session due to trainer cancellation.
6. Session Packs and Expiry
Personal Training sessions purchased in packs must be used within the following timeframes:
5 pack – valid for 10 weeks
10 pack – valid for 12 weeks
20 pack – valid for 26 weeks
Sessions not used within the expiry period may be forfeited unless otherwise approved by management.
Expiry extensions may be considered for medical reasons or exceptional circumstances, and extension may require supporting documentation.
7. Payments
All Personal Training sessions must be paid for in advance unless part of a direct debit training agreement.
Direct debit PT agreements require two weeks’ written notice to cancel.
8. Refund Policy
Personal Training sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.
Refunds may only be considered in exceptional circumstances at management’s discretion, including serious injury, medical conditions preventing exercise, or relocation outside the area.
Medical documentation may be required.
This policy operates in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
9. Transfer of Sessions
Personal Training sessions are not transferable to another person without approval from STARplex management.
10. Health and Safety
Clients must inform their trainer of any injuries, medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, or anything that may affect their ability to exercise safely.
Participation in Personal Training sessions is voluntary and at the client’s own risk.
11. Trainer Availability
STARplex cannot guarantee the ongoing availability of a specific trainer. If a trainer leaves or changes availability, clients will be offered the option to continue with another trainer.

13. Agreement
By purchasing Personal Training sessions or participating in Personal Training at STARplex, clients agree to these Terms and Conditions.
