STARplex offers a range of children’s dancing programs suitable for many ages and skill levels. With encouragement young child can dance like a star. These are small, customised classes. All classes are non-competitive...have fun learning to dance without the pressure of performing. To make a booking for any of the classes listed below telephone 8522 0622.

Baby Boogie (1 to 3 years, with a parent)

Wednesdays 9.15am-10.00am (resumes 5th February, 2025).

Baby Boogie is all about having fun and watching your child’s imagination and confidence grow as they learn to express themselves to music. Participants will be taught some basic dance steps and movements including first position, plies, pointing and flexing toes and rhythm.

Dancing Child (3 to 4 years, with a parent)

Thursdays 9.30am – 10.15am & 10.30am - 11.15am (resumes 6th February, 2025).

Dancing Child is an excellent first dance class to develop confidence and expression with mum or dad watching or joining in whatever works best for you and your child. Participants learn creative dancing games to help their coordination as well as basic dance steps including pointing and flexing toes, skipping, gallops, rhythm, marching, balancing and hopping.

Junior Hip Hop (6 to 10 years)

Mondays 4.30pm – 5.15pm (resumes 3rd February, 2025).

Hip Hop classes offer a free style of movement, developing creativity, flexibility and coordination. Dance steps like isolations, walks, turns, arms, travelling and combinations are all taught each term. Students will enjoy the music and forget they are learning anything they are having so much fun!
